There’s been some sad news for all the “freeloaders” this week, as Netflix has announced they’ll be cracking down on account sharing.

According to Parks Associates research, account sharing could be responsible for up to $9.9 billion of losses for streaming sites and $1.2 billion of over-the-top revenues.

Yes, it is. Afterall, you wouldn’t be able to create multiple profiles if Netflix accounts were limited to use by a single person. The streaming service company has also clarified that it has no plans to strictly clamp down on users who share their accounts, despite rumors to the contrary circulating earlier this year.
